October 12 Aviation Grant Funding Seminar

SCAA held a very successful educational seminar on grant funding, a joint effort with the SCDOA, in October. The seminar was suggested at one of SCAA’s 2005 Annual Conference sessions where members helped staff brainstorm ideas for the new year.

The seminar drew in 65 attendees as well as requests to have a similar program at the 2006 Annual Conference.

Scott Serritt, Anthony Cochran, Paul Yo and Phil Cannon with the FAA presented the first part of the seminar on the federal grant process from beginning to end.  Download FAA PowerPoint deck

The day ended with a question and answer session with a consultant panel including, Andy Busbee with The LPA Group, Mack Lazenby with Wilbur Smith, Bill Pearson with Pearson Engineering, Carroll Tripplett with WK Dickson and Jay Talbert with Talbert and Bright.

Learn what to expect from those providing VIP (CEO, political figure, etc.) security? Do you know how to prepare? Columbia Metropolitan Airport will talk about how they prepared for the recent presidential visit. Walk away with your own checklist.
